Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani Peruvian Muay Thai fighter, mixed martial artist and currently competing with the UFC flyweight division. Valentina is her older sister and a fellow UFC participant. Antonina Shevchenko first began fighting sports by becoming a Muay Thai boxer. Shevchenko made her debut in her first IFMA World Championship Tournament of 2003. Shevchenko defeated Suzane McKell in the finals via a majority verdict. Antonina was able to follow it up, and took home a silver medal in 2007 a bronze medal in 2008 and a gold award in the year 2011 and the title of 2016 IFMA Amateur Muay Thai World Champion. Antonia's professional debut came in 2003. In 2012, she took home the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship and in 2016 she won the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016, she won the WMC World Championships. Antonina was a part of Isa TIDBLAD Keskikangas's fight last time at the Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won unanimously. Antonina shevchenko won her first professional MMA fight in 2002 against Anara bayanova at the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan. She won the fight by second round TKO and won her next two fights at WXF: X-Impact World Championships 2003. She compiled the record of 3-0. Shevchenko took a short time off from MMA and concentrated on her kickboxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 when she fought Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko defeated Anissa in an unanimous decision. She then went on to knock out Valerie Domergue during Phoenix FC 4. In 2018, she resigned from the contest and started participating in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina utilized superior strikes in order to TKO Nievera by knees to her body in the clinch. Antonina's UFC contract was re-extended following this victory. Antonina Shevchenko made her UFC debut at TUF Heavy Hitters Finale against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko fell to Roxanne Modafferi via split decision following her first bout. Antonina rebounded from her loss to defeat Lucie Pudilova via rear-naked choking submission during the second round of UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned an extra fight in the night in this fight. Shevchenko went 2-2 in the next three fights. She beat Ariane Lipski but lost to Katlyn Chokagian as well as Andrea Lee. Antonina was recently knocked out by KO in the second round, losing to Casey O'Neill, at UFC Fight Night Santos against. Walker.
