Leighton Meester (born Leighton Meester) is a American model and singer. Leighton Meester's professional career began as a young girl, in the role of Blair Waldorf on the popular television series 'Gossip Girl'. It was part of the stage production in her local town in the play "Wizard of Oz" during her childhood. That sparked her fascination in acting. Then she began performing in commercials as well as modeling. As part of her modelling assignments, she's worked with big brands such as 'Herbal Essences as well as Vera Wang and 'Jimmy Choo and Ralph Lauren. Even though she started modeling as an actress, she then began acting too. She first made an acting debut in the show 'Law and Order,' and took on cameo roles in TV series and feature films like "Country Strong," "Monte Carlo' and "Killer Movie.' Apart from acting, she's also created music and songs in collaboration with several noted performers, including 'Cobra Starship' and musician Robin Thicke.
